Upgrades to Melton Weir Parkland are being delivered in response to community feedback gathered through the development of the Melton Weir Parkland Strategy.

Initial consultation in 2023 highlighted strong support for improvements to the play space and the inclusion of a multi-use court. An updated Strategy, featuring the proposed court location and concept design, was then shared with the community in 2024 for further feedback.

The final design reflects the outcomes of this consultation process, and Council is now progressing construction of the new multi-use court and play space upgrades to enhance recreation opportunities and support a vibrant, active parkland for the community.

The upgrade will include;

• New equipment including a play tower, basket swing, wobble bridge, stilts, and balance posts.
• New half-court basketball and netball
• Seating and landscaping
• Path networks to connect new amenities

Construction of the new play space and multi-use court will start in mid 2026.
