Project Background
We are running a community survey to learn what young people in our area want and need from future youth spaces. The project will look at the interests and needs of pre-teens and teens, and how youth spaces can support creativity, exercise, social connection, and overall wellbeing.
The information gathered will help guide the planning and design of future youth spaces and activities. This may include skate areas, bouldering, multi-use courts, places to sit and gather, and other active or quiet recreation spaces. The consultation will also consider paths, landscaping, shade, and accessibility features to help create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for all young people.
Have your say
If you are aged 12 - 18 , we want to hear your ideas about what makes a space for you and your friends fun, safe and comfortable. We want to create spaces where you want to hang out with your friends.
This survey is quick and easy. We want to know:
- What activities you currently enjoy and what features you’d love to see in a new space
- How you like to hang out and feel comfortable in spaces designed for young people.
- How you would plan to use a new space
Your ideas will help shape spaces across the City of Melton, so let us know what you think!
