Project Background

Between the 17 October and 28 October 2022, Melton City Council shared a proposed landscape plan with local residents to upgrade Stretton Drive Reserve.

The project commencement has been delayed due to the presence of native vegetation on the proposed project area. Based on the native vegetation assessment, Council amended the design in order to protect the native vegetation within the reserve.

Have Your Say

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. We assessed the feedback we received from the community and revised the landscape concept plan. The proposed half basketball court was not received well by the community, and so it was removed from the scope and replaced with a multi-purpose goal. Please refer to the document library for the summary of feedback and Council's response.

The final design has also responded to the presence of threatened native grasslands in the reserve to protect the native vegetation and comply with state and federal environmental laws. The finalised landscape plan can be viewed in the document library.
