What is the StoryWalk?

The StoryWalk is a fun, annual event hosted by Melton City Libraries during the summer school holidays. It’s designed to help families get outdoors, get active, and enjoy a great picture book together.

Here’s how it works:

  • Library staff choose a picture book each year.
  • The pages are enlarged and displayed along a short walking track or park.
  • Families follow the trail, reading the story as they go.
  • Directional decals on the footpath help guide you along the way.

The StoryWalk is self-guided, so you can visit any time during the event period.
