Council is revitalising Punjel Drive Reserve in Diggers Rest.

The minor park upgrade will include a multi-play structure, a triple community swing and a nature play space to enrich the play experience for all ages. Additional planting improvements will also be provided to create a sense of security and promote a harmonious blend of play and nature.

Thank you to everyone who provided valuable feedback during the consultation period. We greatly appreciate the insights shared, which have helped shape the final design. The key updates to the plan include:

• A circuit path for walking
• A shelter with a picnic seating area
• Fun goals for ball sports
• A multi-play unit suitable for a broader age range of children
• A natural play area designed for younger children
• Increased tree planting to help reduce noise from the freeway

Construction is set to begin early next year. We look forward to delivering an improved play space that serves the diverse needs of our community and enhances the safety and enjoyment of the area.
