Project Background

The City of Melton has some amazing natural areas, like our grasslands, woodlands and waterways. As one of the fastest growing municipalities in Australia, in the face of climate change and other threats, it is more important than ever to protect and enhance our remaining native vegetation and natural spaces for future generations.

Council supports the natural environment in a number of ways, including managing our bushland reserves, supporting landowners, working to minimise environmental damage from developments, and working with external partners.
