Project Background

Melton City Council aims to foster a community that is inclusive, celebrates diversity, where everyone feels valued and respected. We are committed to creating youth programs and events that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible young people with disability including long-term and mental health conditions.

To ensure our programs genuinely reflect the needs, interests, and experiences of diverse youth, we are gathering feedback from young people with disability, carers, guardians, and service providers. We would like to learn what helps you feel safe, respected, and able to join in Melton City Council’s youth programs and events.

Your feedback will help us make these programs better for everyone and shape how we design and deliver our programs. By understanding your lived experiences, we can identify any barriers to participation and what creates a positive and empowering experience for you.

Have your say!

Tell us what matters to you by completing the survey below. You don’t have to answer every question, just the ones you feel comfortable with. If you need help filling out this survey, contact the Social Planning team at socialplanningprojects@melton.vic.gov.au.

If you are a parent, carer, guardian, or a service provider for a young person with disability, please answer the questions based on what the young person has told you or what you’ve seen in your work.

Feedback closes at 9am Wednesday 18 June 2025.
