The Community Panel will bring together a group of randomly selected people from across the City of Melton, who broadly represent the entire community.

Panellists will learn about what is currently happening in the City of Melton, discuss issues and priorities with one another, and provide important feedback that will help shape the Community Vision, and Council’s Financial Plan, Asset Plan and Council & Wellbeing Plan.

The conversations will also obtain information about where the community thinks Council should focus its resources and efforts in order to inform the development of these key strategic plans.

Council has partnered with consultants from Deliberately Engaging for the Community Panel.

Over January and February 2021, Deliberately Engaging will be contacting a random selection of City of Melton residents, inviting them to register to participate in a series of community workshops.

If you receive a call or an email from Deliberately Engaging, you will be invited to register for these sessions.

Participation is entirely optional.

Deliberately Engaging will then select a diverse range of people that is broadly representative of the City of Melton community.

Once registration has closed, a group of 40 people will be selected from those who expressed their interest in taking part in the Community Panel.

This selection will make sure we have a diverse range of people from across the community participating in the Community Panel.

If you are selected to participate in the Community Panel after registering your interest, you will receive a call and email from Deliberately Engaging to let you know. They will then arrange a call with you to answer any questions you may have.

They will also explain the arrangements for the Community Panel meetings and what happens next.
