Project Background

The Grange Reserve, Melton West will receive some minor upgrade works to be delivered in the first half of 2024.

Thank you for the feedback that you provided on the initial concept design presented in August. We have modified the concept design to reflect the feedback received. Design changes include:

  • an updated layout plan with proposed spaces and facilities
  • a circuit footpath for improved connection
  • a modest play space with selected play equipment

    Two community consultations have been conducted for the Grange Reserve Upgrade project in 2022.

    The first consultation took place between 18 July and 5 August 2022, concluding with a face-to-face session on 6 August 2022, where a high-level conceptual plan was shared.

    In response to the questions and inquiries raised during the first consultation, we held a second community consultation from 5 December to 23 December 2022. This session featured an updated detailed plan shared via an online survey, hard copy flyers, email, and phone. The feedback from the second consultation was more positive compared to the first.

    All feedback from both consultations has been carefully considered in the finalisation of the detailed design and documentation.

    Project Updates

    Due to unexpected issues in the previous tender process, this project has undergone a second RFQ process and is currently under evaluation. Construction work is now expected to commence by the end of this year.

    There are no changes to the final plan.
