This is your chance to submit a project, initiative, or program that Council could include as part of the 2026/27 Council Plan and Budget process.

City of Melton ratepayers, residents, visitors, community groups, sporting clubs and local businesses are all welcome to contribute.

For the 2025/26 Council Plan and Budget ideas process we received 80 project ideas from our community, with Council providing funding, partial funding or advocacy for 64 of these ideas.

For your idea to be considered by Council, it should meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate strong community benefit

  • Support the Community Vision & Council and Wellbeing Plan

  • Be deliverable in the 2026/27 financial year

  • Be deliverable on Council land/ buildings

  • Be deliverable by Council and in-line with existing policies and procedures

Only one idea will be accepted per individual/group.

Ideas which seek funding to support organisations or groups deliver their own programs or services will not be considered as part of this program. These ideas should be put forward to Council's Community Grants program.

Suggestions for the 2026/27 Council Plan and Budget have now closed. Councillor Officers are currently reviewing ideas provided by our community.
